Our Spanish immersion experience in Holbox, Mexico this July was absolutely unforgettable! From start to finish, Nuri created such a thoughtful and unique experience for my friends and me. What made it especially special was how she blended Spanish learning with fun, memorable activities that we had selected beforehand, making the experience feel completely personalized to our group.

Nuri was an amazing teacher—patient, encouraging, engaging, and incredibly knowledgeable. She made learning Spanish feel natural and enjoyable rather than like a traditional classroom experience. We were able to practice the language in real-life settings while experiencing the beauty, culture, food, and laid-back spirit of Holbox.

Some of our favorite moments included a beautiful girls’ sunset picnic on the beach, a fun tequila tasting, and a cooking class right in the center of town. Each activity gave us another opportunity to practice Spanish while having an incredible time together. The combination of language, culture, friendship, and adventure was truly perfect.

Nuri went above and beyond to make sure we felt comfortable, engaged, and immersed throughout the experience. She has a wonderful ability to turn everyday moments into opportunities to learn while still making everything feel effortless and fun.

If you’re looking for a Spanish immersion experience that goes far beyond sitting in a classroom, I cannot recommend Nuri highly enough. She created an experience that we’ll be talking about for years to come. I was lucky enough to join Nuri's Spanish immersion retreat during my Holbox vacation, and it was fantastic. She built a fun, engaging program that wove vocabulary right into real experiences — a sunset tarot reading with a feast, a tequila tasting — so learning never felt like a classroom drill.

Nuri is a wonderful teacher: kind, patient, and funny. Everything was well organized too, from smooth transfers to a beautiful, spotless beachfront hotel. I started taking Spanish with Nuri knowing almost nothing!  Within a few months I’m already understanding more, able to communicate better, and can’t believe the progress I’ve made in such a short time. Nuri’s gift is her ability to curate classes based on your interests and how you plan to use your Spanish.
I  appreciated her insistence on learning the alphabet sounds since as a first time Spanish student, this was so helpful with understanding pronunciation.  Her lessons are always efficiently prepared with follow up work that is fun to complete.  Nuri is patient and fun and clearly loves teaching this rich and beautiful language.
